Makarska

Makarska is a city on the Adriatic coast in Croatia placed at the 43.17 Northern degrees and 17.1 Eastern degrees. This is the city with 15 thousand inhabitants and today is one of the most popular touristic centers on the Croatian littoral. Makarska possess a 2 km long sandy beach with Mediterranean climate and promenades surrounded with a pine forest where are various touristic facilities, hotels, restaurants and plenty of fun for kids and adults. In the city you can find a main square where is placed the St. Marks’ church and a waterfront that are always crowded with tourists. There is also a Francirean monastery that is 500 years old and keeps a public collection of paintings, a library and the unique collection of shells. On the coast you can find the City museum and a church of St. Filip and in the St. Peter’s park is placed a church of St. Peter and a splendid view on the city, Biokovo and open sea.

Split

Split is a city in southern Croatia placed on a peninsula by the Adriatic Sea. The Mediterranean climate and vegetation prevails here and makes the city more desirable. The city was made inside of Diocletian palace in 6th century, and in Middle Ages the area of the city spread to the West. Today, Diocletian palace is under the UNESCO’s security. Split is one of the main urban, cultural, touristic and traffic centers in Croatia. In Split you can find many museums such as: Archaeological Museum from 1820, one of the oldest museums in Croatia, Treasury of Split’s Cathedral with a valuable collection of religious art, Ethnographic Museum, Historical and Maritime museums… This city offers you a lot of sport activities at sea and on land, and if you are more type for resting there is a lot of beautiful beaches that you can enjoy.

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik has a population of 43.770 inhabitants. Geographically is settled in Croatia at the 42.65 Northern degrees and 18.09 Eastern degrees. Its tradition and culture reaches from the time when Dubrovnik was an independent Republic. Placed at the south Croatian coast and under the Mediterranean sky has amazing nature land cover and fertile soils. Economical development and tourism path placed Dubrovnik to one of the leading destination in the world. The place is settled at the mountain bottom at the pure sea coast. Old town has preserved all the historical monuments and cultural characteristics of an ancient town. Many notabilities are under the UNESCO’s protection and are unique in the world. The history is still cherished as it has never ended.

Besides, Croatia has more than 25 National and Nature Parks, preserved islands, nature places, cities, and much more. Every place in Croatia is spotted and built on the historical remains of the old cultures. The historical and cultural remains and notabilities are protected, preserved and some under the UNESCO’s security. Croatia has rich natural treasures, like soil and sea resources, woods, coastal and inland agriculture, which leads Croatia to the unique position in the world.
